Jake Starr’s Bar Mitzvah October 13, 2012
October 26th, 2012
It was a beautiful Saturday morning October 13, 2012 when Jake Starr was called to the torah at Kesher Israel Synagogue. Jake led the services and also read from torah like he has been doing it for years, chanted his haftorah beautifully. Watching with great pride were his grandparents as well as his mother, father and brother Zach. Following the services the family went back home and started getting ready for the wonderful celebration that was to follow.
Later that evening Jake’s family all gathered at his house for a photo session with Al & Zach from Hy Paul Studio. The photo shoot included all of the grandparents, aunts & uncles and cousins.
Then it was back to Kesher Israel where it was time to celebrate. Jake’s theme was baseball and the room sure showed it. All of the tables had rally towels, baseballs and pennants that had Jake’s name on them even the cake was decorated in Phillies colors.
Before the family came into the room Jay from A Sharp made everybody stand up for the national anthem once we all sang Jake came into the room with all the rally towels waving as high as you can get them. Jake led the candle lighting by calling his closest family and friends to light the candles on his cake. The hora followed, Jake was lifted high above the crowd to honor him on his special day.
Let the party begin, Jay had everyone on the floor from beginning to end, the kids and adults were all enjoying the music as well as the games there also was a photo booth for those who wanted to have there photo taken. Mom & Dad have everyones attention as they both said very special words to Jake in his honor but not to be out done by his brother Zach who had some special words of his own. Lets not forget about the wonderful desserts that were served, water ice, fresh warm cookies, cake and ice cream too.
At the end of the evening everyone was exhausted from dancing and eating so it was time to say goodbye as everybody got on the dance floor one more time to wave goodbye to the video and to Jake as the evening came to a close.
We want to thanks the Starr family for letting Hy Paul Studio be apart of Jake’s Bar Mitzvah and we can’t wait till it’s time for Zach’s
