Jacob Kaffey’s Bar Mitzvah January 12, 2013
January 22nd, 2013
It was a beautiful Saturday morning, January 12th 2013 when Jacob Kaffey was called to the torah at Beth Or synagogue. Jacob read from the torah with great pride, as he was ready to be Bar Mitzvahed. Watching with great excitement as Jacob read from the torah were his parents, grandparents and as well as his older sister Rachel. Following the services the families hopped into their cars and the kids all packed onto the bus, as they were ready to party at Old York Road Country Club. When everyone arrived they were greeted with wonderful decorations that adorned the party room. The theme of the decorations were skiing and snowboarding. All the tables had different designs and even the cake was made to look like a ski slope. Once everyone got settled it was time for cocktail hour. The kids all gathered on the dance floor to play games and dance as the adults went off to a separate room to mingle with their friends. As the cocktail hour came to a close it was time for the fun to begin. Ian from Hot Hot Hot Entertainment gathered everyone on the dance floor before they introduced the family into the room. As everyone gathered in a circle, Jacob was called into the room and he ran through the crowd as everyone cheered for him. Once everyone settled it was time to get serious and do the candle lighting. Jacob called up all his close family and friends to light a candle. Once all the candles were lit, Jacob closed his eyes and made a wish as he began to blow out his candles. Once that was over it was time for the hora to begin. Everyone then gathered on the dance floor and formed two circles as they danced around Jacob and his family to celebrate him becoming a Bar Mitzvah. Let the celebration begin! Ian had everyone on the dance floor from beginning to end. The kids and adults were enjoying music as well as games and everyone was having a great time. The party then started to settle down as mom and dad raised their glasses and said some beautiful words about their son. After all was said Jacob then ran over and hugged his parents, as it was time for Jacob to have a slow dance with his mom. Lets not forget dessert! Everyone then sat down as they were served some delicious cake and coffee and there was even ice cream for the kids as well. At the end of the evening everyone was exhausted from all the partying, so it was then time to say goodbye. Everyone then gathered on the dance floor to give Jacob a hug and a kiss and dance one last time before the night was over. We want to thank the Kaffey family for letting Hy Paul Studio be apart of Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah.
