Lexi’s Carnival October 5, 2013
October 30th, 2013
It was a warm fall day on October 5th 2013 when Lexi Garfield became a Bat Mitzvah at Shri Ami. Lexi took stand at the bema and read from the torah like she had been doing it her whole life. Watching with great pride as Lexi became a Bat Mitzvah were her parents, grandparents and even her older sister. After the service was over everyone then headed home to relax and prepare for the wonderful evening to follow at Merion Caterers. As night began to draw near Lexi and her family arrived to the affair by a big pink limo. As the rest of the guests began to arrive they were greeted with a huge carnival theme. Everyone was given their own special mask and they even got to see some live fire dancers as well. While the guests enjoyed a nice cocktail hour where they were able to mingle with one other it was time for the real party to begin. As the guests entered the room they continued to see this wonderful carnival theme. The tables had human center pieces and the cake was even made to look like a carnival. Once everyone was settled, it was time to bring the family into the room. The entire room then got up and cheered as Adam from A Sharp called Lexi’s name. Lexi came into the room with a huge smile on her face. Once the family was in the room it was time for the candle lighting to begin. Lexi then called up all of her close family and friends to come up and light a candle in her honor. Once all the candles were lit, Lexi then closed her eyes and made a wish as she began to blow out all the candles. As the smoke began to clear the hora began to play and the guests then entered back onto the dance floor to share a special dance in honor of Lexi and her family. Once the dance was over everyone then took their seats as they got to enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Merion Caterers. After dinner A Sharp turned up the bass and as the beat began to drop everyone came back onto the dance floor to party and play some games with Lexi and her family. As the music began to slow down Lexi grabbed her dad and shared a special dance with him. As the night went on everyone was enjoying the fun filled time at Lexi’s Carnival. Dessert was then served and everyone enjoyed a delicious dessert bar with cake, cookies and all types of ice cream. As the evening came to a close all the guests then gathered back on the dance floor to share one last dance with Lexi as well as give her a hug and a kiss to congratulate her on her special day. We want to thank the Garfield family for letting Hy Paul Studio be apart of Lexi’s Bat Mitzvah.
